Tribal House roots are primarily in Florida where the Caribbean percussive sound influenced hugely the post-Electro scene : Rey Rodriguez ,Tony Carrasco, Murk, Jorge Luis Acosta were the forerunners there and contribute to etablish Miami as a major Clubbing town. The style is characterised by a large use of percussion over a house tempo (120/125 Bpm). The beats are fused with more organic sounds & large Bass. Narrow styles are Deep House & Balearic Beat.Tribal expand to New York clubs with dj’s like Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez, Eric Kupper, Danny Tenaglia, Hex Hector,"Little Louie Vega" or Junior Vasquez that make it popular in the beginning of the '90s.
There is also a "Benelux school" witch is a legacy of carnival tradition similar as in Central & South America. The labels Wonka Beats, Touché, Outland or Global Cuts are representative of it. London UK school take more influences from Jamaican sound like raggamuffin & integrated it into Progressive with Leftfield., Fabio Paras or KLF.
